Keith Miller is a British music promoter, co-founder of the independent promoter Bad Vibrations and of Wide Awake Festival in London. His career has been defined by his support for alternative music and the development of cultural spaces dedicated to the independent scene.
Miller studied sociology at the University of Aberdeen, where he earned a master’s degree and developed his interest in the social and cultural phenomena surrounding live music. Based in London, he founded Bad Vibrations, a promoter known for organizing concerts and tours for emerging artists, as well as carrying out production activities and operating as a record label.
In parallel, he has been closely connected to iconic venues in the London scene such as MOTH Club, The Shacklewell Arms, and The Waiting Room, where he serves as lead programmer and events manager, further strengthening his role as a key figure in promoting independent musical projects.
In 2021, after an initial attempt in 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic, Miller co-founded the Wide Awake Festival, held in Brockwell Park in south London. The event has established itself as a benchmark for alternative music programming, spanning genres such as post-punk, electronic music, techno, and experimental jazz. Under his direction, the festival has been recognized for its commitment to gender diversity in its lineups, its sustainable approach, and its collaboration with community organizations.
His work has earned recognition from artists and specialized media, who regard him as an influential figure in shaping an authentic platform for independent music in the United Kingdom.
