PONY BRAVO

Pony Bravo has managed to keep its creative discourse directly intertwined with remixing, humor, research, and critical culture. A band that has become inseparable from the history of music in Seville and, for many, is the nucleus generating the most current proposals. The group has developed along a middle path in which they have been able to find the roots of Andalusian rock from Triana or the psychedelia of Smash to tackle diverse themes with Silvio’s humor, but without leaving aside musical, artistic, and conceptual references of all kinds. Their proposal has integrated genres as different as Italo-disco or dub, always in service of Sevillian iconography and their unique sound. Their discography is made up of musical collages without visible seams, which have ended up becoming a characteristic sound where music is the protagonist. In a continuous process of pushing their compositional capacity further, krautrock airs meet dance music accompanying flamenco, giving shape to Pony Bravo. The group has garnished all this with their own imagery in which Curro is rescued, the Giralda can take off, or the climate crisis floods Seville. A collection of posters and images have come to life in various music videos that have undoubtedly marked one of their hallmarks.
