Michal Parizek
Michal is a music and arts journalist, radio DJ, and event promoter at Scrape Sound Inc. since 2001. In 2010, he co-founded the Full Moon magazine, where he has been the editor-in-chief since 2014. Full Moon is a monthly print magazine and an extensive online platform based in Prague that covers primarily (but not exclusively) independent artists who push the boundaries of music and art in various ways. It covers both the local and international music scene, as well as what’s happening in the fields of film, literature, and art. Full Moon has also collaborated with several major European festivals. In 2018 and 2019, the magazine was awarded the Press of the Year award at the Nouvelle Prague showcase. Michal also works as the curator and dramaturge of the Full Moon Stage at the Colors of Ostrava festival (since 2013) and other Czech festivals. Since 2020, he has been a co-founder of the Moody Moon Noize festival. In 2020, he published the book “Uprostřed příběhu” (In the Middle of the Story), a collection of articles, interviews, and reports published in the Full Moon magazine during its ten years of existence.
